I don’t recall who told me about this trick , i think it was someone on ABOL. This is on the truck boxside we are replacing (there’s an article in the blog section). I just wanted to show what I do on the panels to give a factory look in a few minutes, otherwise you have two sides that look different. I doubt any customers would even notice but what the heck.
I start by applying some primer in the spot that needs the fake weld, then while it flashes off dip the eraser end of a pencil in and give a little swirl. Once dry just scuff and paint. Here it is:

Was too lazy to dig up the thread to find out. I think it was on my tricks of the trades thread….works well though :cheers
