ITS INSANE Gotta do what your instructed but what really makes me angry is he told me if I am doing it at cost then I am paying me tech’s too much can you even begin to understand that My tech’s are the ones that make me look good with customers and if the jobs are done right Then all is well
Perhaps He needs a reality check I think this time being a manger sucksAnonymousJune 11, 2008 at 5:22 pm #10666Personally I think you need more power/control to be a manager.
sure your not just his sand bag for him to hide behind.
If your boss wants to do it for nothin fine but you and your techs shouldn’t have to do it for nothin. B)boss owns and controls all that goes on
Do you own your own shop or do you work for a dealership
I do not take a back seat if thats what your thinking
but the control is ultimatley his
Like I said it’s his sandbox It’s that or lose my job
point has been argued but some times it is what it isJune 11, 2008 at 10:48 pm #10671Yikes!! I would say giving the dealership a break( I also work in dealership environment) 40 hours @55 plus 800 for materials. I take it you are not doing inside jambs and such. Two to two and half litres of uno should be lots,it covers awesome.I hope you don’t get paid on percent of bottom line.
June 14, 2008 at 6:44 am #10684Gin, I have been a dealer for many years. I know what they are trying to do, and know you have to suffer in the shop.
Mr. GQ sold a red Savana, but you only had a white one.
Changing the color on a manufacturer title is going to absolutely kill the value of that vehicle.
Tell Mr. pleated pants “uhh oh, better get Maaco”, for that is the main objective.
Nothing I would ever do as a dealer principle, or a shop owner. Sounds like stupid, to me.
