Im looking for lifting tape for windsheilds and back glass. I have used 3Ms tape, its blue in color, made of tough plastic and comes in different mm sizes. It has a hard edge on one end that you tuck under the rubber. The problem I have with it is its hard to go around corners with it and its a pain to cut to size. I used some tape real simmilar to it the other day but I forget the brand name. It was brown in color and was more like masking tape material. It had perforations about every 2 inches and was very easy to tear and turn corners with. It worked really well for me. Does anyone know what Im talking about and where I can get it from?

    Any help would be great

I can’t seem to find a link to the actual product I use, but it’s very similar to this:

Thin card does work well in some circumstances though, but I’d never thought of using playing cards!

Don’t worry Dennis, Now that that Intrepid is gone, you probably won’t be working on anything new enough to need it.

It just lifts rubber trim off the panel your painting.
