If any other pretty boys out there are looking for a good set of gloves for prep & paint purpose I have to throw a vote to these ones below.

Something so simple but they are a nice to have. I’ve used Thickster gloves and a few others but find these take more of a beating, pretty resistant to solvents and are actually somewhat comfortable (especially since there powder-free). If your in the market you should give em a go. They seem to be priced pretty well, in my neck of the woods anyhow.

That’s good hand cleaner too, i use that also.

I figured bondo would say that, not you stone! Some of us pretty boys need to keep our hands soft and silky 😛 . I find the solvent turns my hands into 40 grit paper if I don’t wear em.

Ok, i’ll get box of those. Gloves come in handy for final prep and when detailing.

If you like Cupran special, then you’ll love 3M Paint Buster hand cleaner.

I like them more for detailing too, something about the compounds that really dries out the hands.

i have been in this business for 36 years i only wish i had started wearing gloves sooner …with all the chemicals that are involved in this trade, anytime you can protect yourself you should take that extra step …it will keep you in this trade longer..if you are any thing like me… you live and breath body work …i can not imagine doing anything else….keep safe….. :cheer: :silly: :woohoo:

I am old school about gloves my self (Don’t like em!)
But wish I had started wearing them long ago too I already have Eczema on a few fingers that doesnt go away any more caused from harsh chemicals.

Now I try to wear them any time I am playing with chemicals and bare steel that’s going to be painted.

Next time I order gloves I will try a box or two

Gloves are a big thing over here in little old NZ thinners absorbes through you skin and in to your blood stream in 5 second flat. cracks your skin and dries the skin solvents can cause cancer to
