my paint rep he worksfor dupont told me that when he does a conversion he pushes the standox or spies hecker he dont like the dupont promax at all

Yea I hear that a lot that even the reps don’t like it but yea I would much rather be spraying spies hecker or standox hell just something else beside dupont water

i dont under stand y we switched from sikkens if the owner wantedto change to water borne should have just went with autowave but he standox is workin ok colors are matchin good most of the time i use that camera and just do a blind search i have been gettin low numbers doin it that way rather than typeing in the make and code and vin number but i allways check the color decks

Have you run into a lot of chip that dont match what you spray cause thats one of the biggest issues i have i dont even use the chip deck anymore i just use the camera get better matches with camera then straight from chips or formula codes but this paint will make a lot of painters start to beg there boss to either go back to solvent or another brand or water

    November 11, 2012 at 4:29 pm #39067

yeah the chip decks are off alot of the ones i have the paint is messed up heavy metalics are to heavy this stuff works ok like isaid b4 but if we ever get back to the work load like we had eariler in the year it wont keep up or if we get another hail storm like we had in 2010 there was over 800,000 auto claims in tennessee alone with that storm i wasnever so sick of hail in all my daysour pdr guy was with us for a year and halve every body says the waterborne isfasterthansolvent ifyou got the proper air movement i dont know about that the sikkens autobase is purty darn fast

    November 11, 2012 at 9:16 pm #39097

Yea I feel like Sikkens water is faster then solvent just from the few jobs I did with it it really seemed faster and color match much better And really just a better product over all and so much easier to blend which is a big plus Cause u don’t have to fight blends
