Han, my products are by Malco. The same as Presta but w/o the fancy black bottles. Pads are theirs too. I did a hood and used wool then foam to finish and that worked best. That Universal clear sure buffs nicely.
February 3, 2010 at 4:54 pm #19236this was a bumper that I some problems with my gun set up on (too much material). So, it had a little peel. I only used 2000g and it still took me about 2hrs! with a foam pad. I was a little concerned about a wool pad on the edges. Kind of wish that I had used the wool.
I really don’t like buffing on fresh clear. Makes my heart race and knees knock.
January 25, 2010 at 1:15 am #18891that is a new procedure. It use to be not to add clear to the ubr. interesting.
January 17, 2010 at 7:52 pm #18742I will take one and pay plus shipping if you get it. If it is 20% less then what Len has it for. Seriously. PM if it interests you.

Not bad for 250. I would get the 1.2 also
January 17, 2010 at 8:10 am #18735I have an 80 that I never use. I do really like the SRIw from Devilbiss. It has a 1.2 tip and sprays well. I did a fender and door today with it. I would like to get the new SRIpro. It might be too small to do more than 2 panels.
January 17, 2010 at 5:10 am #18725The lower the pressure the less your paint is atomized so you are dumping a lot more product on. Now if you sped up your movements you could be ok. I like the higher pressure personally. I have spoken with several people that like the higher pressures on those guns. Then you see people that like the lower pressures. To each his own. Try the higher psi. I actually like it around 35.
January 17, 2010 at 4:36 am #18722Increase your pressure to around 30 and you will do a lot better. I have a 300 and tried shooting at 20 and got more runs then ever. Up it and you will be happy.
January 13, 2010 at 4:53 am #18595Looks great! I love the outlines of the doors on the wall. Is that so you know where to put the doors when you are done? Kind of like my peg boards have the outline of my tools so I know where they go.
December 30, 2009 at 8:25 am #18371It looks like that fender likes the work too. See the smiley face?
December 15, 2009 at 6:19 pm #17927A real good video series is made by Kevin Tetz from Paintucation.com. He also has a forum like this.
Along the lines of metal shaping, has anyone seen the Steck Stud Lever? http://www.steckmfg.com/20014-StudLever.html.
What is a good tool to pull creases evenly?
Thanks,

December 7, 2009 at 1:43 am #17570I have an LPH 80 I may want to sell. Can’t stand it. Never got a good finish. I use to use the minijets and now use the SRI’s and really like them. Funny huh?
December 5, 2009 at 9:23 pm #17542If you have 8k to invest, there are mobile units that will collect 98% of the overspray. What is kind of funny about the ruling is that it states you need a 3 sided enclosure so even then you will have contaminates leaking out of the open end.
It is causing some sleepness nights. The mandate is effective 1/11, so there is still a year to vet things out. I am looking at starting a SMART repair type facility but not sure yet. I live in a small population area and the shop would be kind of out of the way from the major population center. That fact makes it a questionable proposition, yet there is a bodyshop in town that does a great business.
Someone from this site mentioned doing powder coating but after a google search I found 5 pages of powder coaters.
