You guys are missing my point. Of course Frank’s advice was odd (to say the least), and one of his responses sucked, and was removed (why am I even explaining this here?).
Anyway, what brought me over here was someone from this site winding me up about what was going on in that chat box..which I read and reacted to. I should not have taken the bait. You guys certainly have every right to say whatever you want about me, ab101, members over there – whatever you want to talk about.
However, ab101 is going to be moderated. I realize a very vocal minority has a problem with that, but sorry…it’s going to be moderated. Try some of the nonsense that went down at ab101 over the last years on a site like hotrodders and see how tolerant Jon is. Not going to happen. On a larger board you can’t run it like a boys club.
So, thanks for the responses to this thread, it has actually helped me understand a lot better.

Justin, I think you missed something important. I agree that the clearcoat advice was not good, and needed to be (respectfully) pointed out. And by no means am I discouraging them from participating — all I’m asking for are the games to stop. Check your own chat archives.
I’m very disappointed that these guys would be pimping threads over here and encouraging each other to taunt other members over on ab101, and openly state that they are testing my management of the site. That’s the long and short of my issue. You wouldn’t like it if it were going in the other direction, would you?
I realize you guys don’t care, and are probably even now getting a good laugh at my expense, but last night was pretty lousy for me and very upsetting to see people I thought I could be friends with behaving this way.
Like I said…appealing to basic decency here…can you guys please stop playing games with the site? If you have something constructive to contribute, please…contribute. I’m more than willing to move beyond this incident, but I’d like to be able to focus on more important things and not have to worry abut stuff like this.
Does that sound reasonable?
