That is cool and nice work too!
What products are on there? The clear looks very nice.
Shopline jp202 primer.
Black regular shopline base.
Dark shadow gray shopline plus base.
Alloy and silver are dbc base.
Some dbc 500 thrown in for shading.
Everything reduced with DT series reducers.
SPI universal clear. Sanded and recleared to bury tape lines. Pics in the booth may be first round of clear.
Front bumper and roof struts are shopline single stage urethane.Everything was leftover from other jobs. Just a fun little low cost project.
May 22, 2014 at 6:12 am #46689Good to know. It really is a nice tool. Best thing for 3″ roloc disc that I have used. Lots of torque.
April 1, 2014 at 4:56 am #46237
I’m going for PERFECT smooth show quality. No time savers or shortcuts.
Then blow it apart and paint it in pieces = NO tape lines. Simple enough on a restoration.

Nice work on the 68.
Hard to go wrong with the Sata’s. Lots of guys here are getting good results with the Tekna.
March 14, 2014 at 5:24 am #46089If you have a real paint jobber local go there instead. The Eastwood is just middle of the road quality factory pack that isn’t priced significantly better than going through a jobber.
The Kirker / Eastwood epoxy isn’t terrible but not something I would go out of my way to buy though.

One on the right is for finished junk. One one the left is for projects. Park in the one attached to the house.

February 22, 2013 at 7:24 am #41561February 17, 2013 at 6:03 am #41428You see it in job postings because it’s tied into the shops drp contracts. The small city I’m in has zero I-Car techs and still has drp shops because the requirement isn’t really enforced here. If you have experience the bigger shops in the metro areas will hire you without I-car and pay for your training over time.
