Looks nice, Why’d you leave so much of the rear of the bondo hut unfinished? Didn’t want to heat it?
September 6, 2009 at 7:29 am #15709:rofl Pretty sure he thinks I’m ripping him off, but he’s agreed to pay some more money,, not enough,,, but enough for us to still remain freinds and me not feel like I’m working for nothing.
September 6, 2009 at 6:57 am #15707According to him the rear wheel hoops and grill are supposed to be “silver mist” while the rest of the chassis is supposed to be “flint gray met.”
I can’t find a code for silver mist and he couldn’t provide me with one, so he picked a ford silver that he says was close. :wak
He also says that the flint gray met. that he gave me the code for is too light,,, more like the 135’s would be,,, says they had a dark version and a light version,,, :lol1
I’ve seen that guy at least once a day for over a month,,, 2-3 times per day on the weekend.
September 6, 2009 at 6:46 am #15705Well im about a month into this project and have yet to spray anything with the “Free” red paint he brought me to start with.
Got all the flint gray and silver parts done to the best of my knowledge,,,, odds are he’ll show up with another batch that he forgot. Seems everyday that goes by another piece gets added to the pile. Grill and wheels are a different color than the chassis as per the owners instructions,,,, damned if can see much difference besides the coarsness of the flake.
Painted the chassis at his place, using his 3hp 26 gallon compressor, rigged to one of my water separators and air hose, outside under a carport no less.

September 6, 2009 at 4:26 am #15702SS or BC/CC?
Either way, That’s alot of stuff to spray in one session.
Looks like it will be a nightmare to transport without damaging it.
August 28, 2009 at 6:00 am #15564I spent the afternoon playing with a box blade on my driveway, so yeah I’ve had a few.
August 26, 2009 at 1:09 am #15521Ok, that was just practice, now go get all the spotwelds out of the one that’s still on the truck.
August 23, 2009 at 3:36 am #15507He should just take total loss offer, buy it back and swap the parts over to another fox body. The car is what’s damaged not the aftermarket parts and those cars are a dime a dozen.
August 21, 2009 at 9:12 pm #15488Ahha,
Just what the site needed.
A simpler way to post pictures.
Allowing bondo to post more. :exci :lol1
August 18, 2009 at 9:25 pm #15415I can’t resist the urge to scuff sand tape marks out.
I usually apply 1 coat of straight intercoat over the graphics before pulling the tape and will go back in after the tape is pulled and scuff everything that has marks while trying to avoid hitting the edge where the tape was.
When doing graphics, I put down intercoat over everything including solid colors just so I can sand the marks out.
