Bloverby it looks fantastic bro.. I somehow missed the part where your friend had passed.. Pretty rad that you are finishing it still.. Many probably would have left it as is..
I agree with BondoMerchant.. He would have loved it!!
June 16, 2010 at 5:18 am #21890Good times right there.. I did a set of 46 fenders that looks exactly like that fender you have.. Man the ones i worked on were trashed all across the top too where they bolted to the rear quarter panel..
Glad those are gone.. they had lots of mud 👿

May 26, 2010 at 4:29 pm #21600There are allot of things that could cause the clear to die back.. Maybe I missed it but no one seemed to touch on the primer that was used and how the job was done so I will ask..
1. How many coats of primer? Was it sanded.. How long between when it was sprayed and base shot.
2. What type of base was shot? How many coats of base.. How much flash between each coat.
3. How long did base flash off before applying clear?
4. How much flash time per coat was given on the clear?
5. How many coats of clear?Oh yeah.. Hi all 😛
March 1, 2010 at 12:05 am #19803Smisco The MS and Universal clear both use the same resins, so the quality is exactly the same, however the MS uses one different solvent.. That solvent makes it appear to be thinner, when it actually has 1% more resin content than the Universal.. Also the clear lays down smoother and flows better/longer..
It is preferred for flow coating by just about anyone who has sprayed it..I have only used the Universal and HS that has now been discontinued and basically replaced with the Euro..
I have some Euro I am going to spray this summer.. JimC has used more SPI than anyone I know of period.. He loves the new Euro and if I am correct it is becoming his favorite of Barry’s clears and he has used them all!!!March 1, 2010 at 12:00 am #19802I shoot sealer, base, clear and occasionally thinned down 2k thru my LPH400.. It sprays SPI regular 2k perfect thru it non reduced
