No clear on this one brother.. Its a Polyurethane single stage… It really shines in the outside light.. but it has done nothing but rain here for the last week or better, so I could not get the pics I wanted before it left..
Personally I think the single stage looks better on this car than the clear would have.. Especially putting all that crappy aluminum junk around the windows and the terrible bumpers.. but its not mine so….

Windshield urethane adhesive???? Wow I would have never guessed that one.. I would have assumed you used panel adhesive…. Things that make yo go hmmmmmmmmm

It absolutely the wrong way to do it too.. I used to clean my gun after every use thoroughly.. But now I will just do the thinner wash out, dump, wipe etcc.. then put new thinner back in cup and check to run clean again,,. Now it sets and waits for a proper cleaning next time I am going to paint…
That is my base and clear gun.. Now with primer, I will usually always break it down immediately and clean.. It tends to be much more difficult to get cleaned out if it sets up..
Oh yeah and those small moto guard ones that are thick and foam.. Perfect for the fenders, well hell around most of the edges on that thing..
Let your hand be your guide.. Dont trust guide coat to do the job of your hand.. Damn that is allot of blocking :pcorn:
Well without doing any wallet damage…. a paint stick can do a heck of a job…
I think you could use a variety of durablocks or the sorts to do the job.. I have 7 different durablocks I have collected over the years 😛 I think they would do the job easily..

Polyester primer is your friend bro.. I love poly primer these days.. Makes panels flat and straight like nothing else with minimal shrinkage
I have always just let my single stage set overnight and then without scuffing come back the next morning or afternoon and shoot my clear right on top of it.. Works like a charm.. I was taught this by a chemist for the majors.. Said it would never fail doing it like this.. I always have and never had any issue’s.. Funny thread.. I shot single stage today.. and

I cant believe this car still sets at my house.. :blink: Well today I shot the body in Jet Black single stage made by Moto Storm.. Its called Black Ice.. Its absolutely beautiful.. Its very slick..
I wish it was not dark here and there was some light.. I cant take a pic good enough to show it off in my crappy lit garage..
I was short on some activator by accident,. I only had 1 quart and I needed 2.. so it will be a few days before I can shoot the hood and decklid but thats okay.. I can wait for the proper stuff.. This product was made to be shot over top of the chrome paint they sell at MotoStorm, so it flows out beautifully..
