Im with Blovery.. I have been in that situation before on an 84 I built from the ground up.. I let them total the car, give me like $3500 for it and then I bought the car from them at salvage price and still had money in my pocket.. all I needed was a shell 😛

Charge a flat rate and be done.. Tell him its this or nothing.. I would also tell him to take it anywhere else you want and get a quote and Im sure mine will be less..
Put your quote in writing.. Only takes a few minutes on a computer.. Also in your quote, I would note that the price reflects the above mentioned items and anything else added comes at an additional charge.. Both of you sign it and then he is bound by your legal agreement..
I started doing this last year and it was the smartest thing I have ever done.. Now no matter what a customer may say, I have our “agreement” in writing and its no hassle :pcorn:
