If it’s not polished aluminum with clear anodizing, it’s gotta be chromed with a clear coat…doesn’t look like chrome peeling to me.

If it was mine I’d strip the anodizing ( HD easy off ) and just polish it, it requires a bit more maintenance to keep it clean, but cheaper than a new rocker box. I’ve stripped several pieces of anodized aluminum using the EZ off in the yellow can ( not the blue, although it smells nicer, it’s not as strong ). Let it sit about 15 mins, hit it with a SOS pad or equivalant, rinse repeat as necessary.
It looks like the clear anodizing is coming off….in which case it all has to come off and be re-andodized..or someone has to keep polishing it.

Looks friggin sweet Jayson. I still think a Dynacorn body is a better way to go ( for the customer )…beats paying for the metalwork like this poor fella did. ( He’s divorced now ).
