March 9, 2013 at 2:55 am #41992DuPont Chroma Base. Autoglas euro design ag40 clearcoat by Matrix. I would not use it again, it simply does not flow out(could be me), nor holds its gloss. I have been using Trans Star “Euro” high solids and really pleased with it…..but this matrix really looks just as good once it’s sanded/ buffed.
November 1, 2012 at 3:34 am #38842It’s not my car but, 429 Cobra Jet, fiberglass hood, it’s the real deal. I’m trying to upload some finished paint job photo’s uploaded.
October 29, 2012 at 2:10 am #38825I stripped it bare. I thought I read somewhere on this site it’s recommended to Epoxy first as a moisture and sealing barrier, but not everyone did this additional step. I guess my theory is that there is just a slight bit more build. As you said, lots of leveling to do,…and the color will be black.
October 25, 2012 at 4:18 am #38776It looks like my next gal of filler will be this 3M platinum, I’ve never tried it. I’m always lookin for something better..I’m still looking for the filler that sands and shapes itself..LOL
October 16, 2012 at 3:26 am #38658Sounds like I was on track. I have already purchased gal of superfill 4:1. Should I exchange it for Fibre fill..?? Very nice work jeremyb..
October 15, 2012 at 11:27 pm #38650I just don’t want to have a comeback because fiberglass is popping thru the primer. There’s really not a lot of fiberglass repair to be done, so I’m fortunate there. I was just looking for solid info on the epoxy or polyester to back up my my decision .. Thanks
