We were just cleaning up the factory corrosion on the inner panel.

Pretreatment wipe. Is it similar to the old PPG DX metal cleaners/conditioners?

    April 7, 2012 at 7:14 pm #36662

    1. you might be able to get it. I could probably even get it. Doesnt help Jimmo out to much :p

    2. Thats good to know. Would love to hear more about the Tech. I like that kinda stuff

1791 still has chromates. Heck Jay even says its like the old CR 🙂

    April 7, 2012 at 7:01 pm #36660

Dont think CR is readily avail anymore.
Arent the wipes basically just soaked in 1k etch? The basf tech sheets dont specifically say anything about stainless either. But the etchs are good over zinc and galvanized, so stainless should be fine. Personally I would go with some DX1791 🙂

    April 7, 2012 at 5:53 pm #36655

I would etch it, but I’m sure epoxy would work just fine as well

Looks pretty damn nice Jay. you gotta be psyched to get it out on the road :rock

how bout just rinsing the thing with lacquer thinner. Paint stripper is made for removing cured paint. just clean the gun with thinner and brushes and move on with life :pcorn:

    Jimmo does 😉

    April 3, 2012 at 3:57 pm #36597

That is interesting to know. I honestly thought it was the stupidest idea. but then again I havent had the chance to use the systems yet. If they are the most productive, that is good. because they used to be about 1/2 price of the jun air quads. Of course it still seems like alot of money for 3 Home Depot looking ceiling fans mounted in the booth :rofl :rofl :rofl
