Insurance wont pay shops in my area to blend adjacent panels on quarter panel relpacement jobs so it comes down to having a good paint system.
What? so if you replace a quarter, they dont pay to blend the door? thats fukin stupid. when do they pay to blend?April 1, 2012 at 2:21 am #36558without digging a pit, you can go with a semi down draft, or a full down draft with a raised basement.
Not sure of the quality of the americure booths. never seen one. dont like the idea of the center ceiling blowers. honestly corner blowers are probably the most effective. with good airflow, your horizontal panels are going to flash pretty quick on their own. its the sides and bottom areas that need the most help.
as far as pricing, have you actually had anyone come right out to your shop. You want them to come out, check out your layout, and give you a firm price that includes the installation. get prices from multiple companies. and see if you can check out installations at other shops so you have a point of reference for quality. In this economy, you should be able to work them on the pricing. I know a few years ago, they were practically giving away boothsMarch 29, 2012 at 1:25 am #36522I have seen a lot of makeup units outside. Not ideal, but it will work. Also I know Garmat and I think at least one other manufacturer has setups with all the mechanicals on the roof of the booth

March 22, 2012 at 3:45 pm #36460
i thought that the hip charcoal filter was what made it grade D air
Ya, but you need to have good clean dry air coming to it. At least a 3 stage filterMarch 20, 2012 at 7:56 pm #36415All the above is good advice, but the first step to a show car finish is with the body and prep work. if that isnt done properly, then the smoothest of paint wont mean a thing
March 20, 2012 at 2:02 am #36392the ppg code is 911264. if color pro has an option for looking up competitor codes try that. if not, it’s a solid red. should be able to find a chip in the deck that matches pretty close
March 20, 2012 at 1:13 am #36390see. should have went with PPG instead of that Wanda broad :p :rofl :rofl :rofl
