at 12hr i sure hope you’re just a painters helper and not the lead painter. think your boss is pulling your leg a little. however if it is a new business it can take some time for the owner to make money. a lot is invested. he may very well not be bringing home a consistent paycheck just yet, depending on the overhead/payments he has to make to keep the place going. This is common when someone starts a new venture no matter what it is.
February 9, 2012 at 4:51 pm #35820something like this http://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/product.php?tid=105&products_id=2609
but you will also need a desiccant filter to remove moistureFebruary 8, 2012 at 8:06 am #35797if you can produce an invoice for your materials just like one for your parts, how can they argue 😉
they pay by the paint hour here too and cap materials. but i’ve never had an issue getting paint for a job costed invoice. really, when was the last time you called the jobber and ordered 31.6 hours of clearFebruary 8, 2012 at 7:47 am #35795why not just use the software on the paint computer to job cost and add the % markup you need
February 8, 2012 at 7:44 am #35794probably have to strip the top half because all the early 90’s gm’s delaminated :wak
February 8, 2012 at 2:36 am #35780complete repaint on a suburban with stripping the upper portion. you could be paying up to $7500 for that one
February 7, 2012 at 4:15 am #35762I posted this site on your other thread, but here is the link to a good flat rate calculator that kinda makes everything a team effort

Honestly the paint dept should be able to be 150-200% efficient. Body side should be the same though it’s a little tougher on bigger hits

:welcFebruary 4, 2012 at 2:31 am #35718the car really needs to go up on the frame machine. little late, but its usually best not to cut every thing off until the structural pulls are done
February 3, 2012 at 4:52 pm #35707Tried moving the topic for ya. kinda made a mess out of it
Where ever you post it it’ll be ok.Looks like that thing needs a good amount of time on the frame rack. You jumped right into the fire on that one
February 2, 2012 at 6:51 am #35684if you want to learn because you think you might like doing this, thats great. but if you want to do it just to save $1000 it aint gonna happen
January 30, 2012 at 9:43 pm #35644
Well I hope your sister is ok (you bought her a respirator atleast I hope)
lil tidbit on the what you call a clear base – DBC500 is not
DMD649 is the clear base and is used in the base formulas
DBC500 is used as an intercoat clear and a clear carrier for tricoat finishes / Blender.
I’m mean you are correct about the DBC500 I just dont want you to forget about DMD649.
video was good. great job Nex.
DBC500 is basically the mixing clear and binder of the rack. 😉 No need to buy it if you have a mixing system.January 29, 2012 at 6:08 am #35592
this thread is beyond retarded. :chair and it worries me if your believing all of this nonsense
