:p :p :p :pI think you are thinking too much here. Automotive paint is fine for bikes. Use a good bc/cc system for metaillics and SS for solids if you want. they dont tell you about buffing delfleet cause its a fleet paint, made for commercial use painting big trucks, equip etc. those jobs usually dont get buffed out. Dont turn painting bikes into rocket scientology 😉
R+D is a big cost to. it’s a lot cheaper to reverse engineer a product that someone else already put the time and money into developing and testing. then substitute some cheaper raw materials and bingo, a nice economy clear.

Looking good dill. with the tank, you dont want your paint line to go further down than the seal of the filler neck. that will just allow the vapors to attack at it constantly. to seal the paint edge take some clear 2 part jbweld and pinstripe the paint edge with it. I have heard of the clear nail polish working but i would be sceptical as acetone will remove nail polish (thats all nail polish remover is). Gas fumes are nasty and i would feel more comfortable using the epoxy jbweld.

No. I smoked a blend on the sail panel. I just backtaped the roof line to avoid overspray :pso you mother fuk the guy for taping of the emblem but you left the moldings on :wak :rofl :rofl
