Hope you charge him for all your time! Dont mess w/ panel painting, you will waste more time trying to tint than the actual time to prep and blend.. Lesson learned!

Sometimes we get more, not always.

We are DRP for many Insurance companies, State Farm, Farmers, AAA, Auto Owners, Citizens, and you know when you are a DRP you have to give them discounts for parts and labor.

insurance job. when replacing a fender, are u guys getting blend time for where the roof rail meets the fender?
We get 1 hour per major panel thats needs blending, .5 for posts, c pillars, & bumber ends.
Now if you are talking about Progressive Ins :cens
Blend time is supposed to be 1/2 of base refinish time and even thats light considering it takes just as long to do a blend panel as it does a full refinish panel. Why are you cutting your own throat and giving away blends at 1hr apiece?

He didnt want it blended before he arrived at my door 😉 It’s getting sprayed tonite. We’ll see what happens :pcorn: maybe i’ll use some fc710 on it so it looks the part. or i’ll just make it look so good that he’ll have to have me do the rest of the car 👿

thought about it joe but theres no break line on the quarter, i could roll the tape off the top of the roof line and try to get away or clear the roof and other 1/4. That would probably get me into stuff i dont want to get into on this car (it’s no virgin) Not to mention that theres no way I could match the existing texture on the panels i’m not supposed to paint  . This guy would know if I blended it. He understands a dead nuts match isnt likely, but i think i got it pretty close.
why is he aganist blending? does he think it is a painter’s shortcut for a bad match?
Cus some people are just fuked in the head and no matter what they wont change their mind.
Once you get a girlfriend or wife you will understand 😛
Probably going to be a pita to tint.. You might consider blending.. I know it will take more time, but how much time will you have tinting that color? Scuff, tape and shoot..
Your right Joe and I went over that with the guy but he’s dead set against blending for :wak
but he’s paying me for all my time i have in it , so be it
