Obviously you dont tape off for the first color. he will have to tape off the white when spraying his second color. and if he uses single stage the tape line will be thicker than if he uses base coatSeptember 23, 2011 at 8:04 pm #33084well with single stage you need to wait for it to dry to tape on it (overnight) and when recoating it it will need to be sanded. Just use base coat. with SS you are gonna have a lot bigger tape line to bury than with the base

you should use it to determine if the parts should be stripped as too much film build is bad.
