set it up so you van put some filters infront of the exhaust fans to catch the overspray. that way you wont be caking up the motor or blades 😉

I used to use one like that, and it seems to be the most common one. The trouble I had with it is that sometimes they would jam (and it was a b*tch to un jam), and they made it hard to do rivets in wheel wells due to clearance.
This is what I have now:
Marson RiviterIt is super easy to squeeze, fairly easy to get in wheel wells around the tire, and due to the design, almost impossible to get jammed. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t use this one instead. :rock
I have one of those i got in a kit. dont know if its defective but the teeth wont grab the shanks of the rivot to set them.December 27, 2010 at 4:36 am #26506December 23, 2010 at 6:36 am #26364find out where the dust is coming from and eliminate it. I coat my booth walls to keep the overspray off the walls. not to keep the dust out of the paint
December 22, 2010 at 4:53 pm #26351just knock his karma down painter. :lol1 :lol1
always takes a little time getting used to a new system 😉December 22, 2010 at 12:45 am #26341
People crack me up sometimes. Show me any paint line you can mix prime and have it hit 90% of the time. I just painted a tri-coat Buick and it had count em 26 variants. If ya can’t tint stay out of the booth.(By the way prime was blend able for that color) Not saying Matrix is the best out there. But don’t knock it till ya try it. By the way I should have thought about my screen name more before I set up my account I can care less if ya use Matrix or not. If ya wanna have less profits by all means buy from one of the big guys. They work great also.
I just charge for what I use with an appropriate markup. doesnt matter what paint line it is 😉December 21, 2010 at 4:44 pm #26334ppg makes candy dies as well. DMX toners in their radiance 2 line. talk to your rep. he should be able to get some
December 21, 2010 at 3:35 am #26324it will work. wont be exactly the same but you can play with it some. the biggest issue with the toners is eventually they will work towards coverage as thats what they were made for. the end result probably wont be as clean as using candy dyes
December 16, 2010 at 2:52 am #26241I dont think that 1.8 and 440 would be enough for my body work  . think you would need a 3.5 and some poly
December 13, 2010 at 7:10 am #26155
you guys are right….see if you ever get jay to admit when he’s off…HA!!
the listing is not identical in description of 3000 and 4000s either…you gotta study it to understand what I’m saying.
standard now is the old non-digital description in the abtm catalogs and it threw me…
The description listing on 4000s are standard and digital…but both are HVLP. Sorry….forgive me?
you’ve been sick for over a week. you have a good excuse :whistle:December 11, 2010 at 7:09 pm #26096like ryan said. 3000 is good for non booth conditions. 4000 never really impressed me
2042 dies and is very yellow.
2002 and 2021 are about their best clears.
if you want to use ppg then pick one of those 2 - AuthorPosts
