Wow! Awesome lookin job! And in a homemade booth? Very nice. I had to paint for about 5 years in a cinder block booth with windows all the way around and shades to pull down when the sun was shinning in too much. Then there were the bodymen cutting filler in front of the filters. I don’t miss those days at all. Here’s to you man.

I use a 3000 hvlp 1.3 as my main base gun. Works good for me @ 23-26 psi. I also have a wsb set-up that I sometimes use in high humidity conditions for solvent base. I have used it for clear on small jobs. Did alright but kinda slow.

I’ve been around autobody repair all my life. My dad ownes the shop I work at. I started working there in high school then full time in 1985. I worked a couple years as a combination body / paint tech. Then went strickly paint. I’ve used mostly Dupont. About 4 years ago we went to Standox solvent. I’ve been to several Dupont training /certification classes and a couple Standox. The latest one on Standoblue which we are considering switching to. I’m really looking forward to getting all I can from this site. Thanks for the welcomes.
