Also trying out a new sealant: Blackfire Wet Diamond

This sealant looks fantastic! Deep and wet baby! 🙂

Now, the rest of the car looks as good as the refinished panels.
I’m gonna start charging for this. Maybe…
Are you adjusting the panel gaps at a later date?
Usually. Had some issues with the pockets/panels behind the lamps;
Only comes with the quarter panel. Not quite a pretty repair inside.
And yes, the gaps are bit better; adjusted trunk stops, hinges and
latch. Not quite perfect but neither am i. 🙂

Welcome to the forum,

Um…why did you purchase/acquire this vehicle? How much did you pay?

Hey mo,

Carpets are the only thing i don’t do. I could, but it stays damp too long.
Quite frankly, i’m kinda bored with the paint body thing. And over the last
year or two, i’ve been spending more time researching detailing products
and techniques and it’s paying off. It’s also fun! And it sure leaves a
better impression. The response has been very good.

No clue on durability. But it is a sealant so it should be fine for
a few months if washed properly. It looks great and very easy to use.
Being able to apply it everywhere makes it extremely efficient. Get this.

HD TOTAL, for what it is, works great too. Not as strong as Megs Super Degreaser
but it’s much safer and less toxic. It can also be used everywhere. I like it
for interiors mostly. The scent is very nice, which is actually important.

HD PROTECT is a bit too glossy and i prefer a lower sheen so mine is diluted
1:1 with water. You can see the difference of the sheen in the E500 and Honda
interior.

HD FREE is OK for just dusty cars. Spray and wipe in one direction only.
No scrubbing! Haven’t used this much at all.

HD UNO…haven’t used this much either. Tried it by hand with their sponge
for a few plastic pieces. It’s OK…

All of these products are good; especially the sealant. And the smells is
very pleasant. The car will look and smell better than what my customers
are used too.

That 4 day only sale has been going on for months now. Still, it’s
a great deal. I have 5 sets of these coming and a few of the waffle
weaves. Like anything else, good MF towels much longer and work better.

I have a bunch of those Cosco MF towels too. But these Monsters are
considerably better; one of these is like five of those. And get some
waffle-weave MF towels which are perfect for windows and interiors.

For final wipe before paint, don’t use MF towels.

Get a box of Kimberly Crew 600 shop towels. No lint! And they’re
very strong. Wont break down in water.

It’s an awesome gun. Arguably the best in the market.

Interesting how we all have it setup. I run mine around 25psi for clear and
maybe around 19/20 for base. Any lower than that, you guys must have it all
dialed way in?

Need a new regulator so im flying blind now. 🙂

Way to go Mo!!!

Ya know… It’s not a bad idea to repair it. You can learn a great
deal in the process. And since you’re into it why not?

Hammer and dolly then just a little bit of bondo and your good!

Zip ties are great if you’re missing a few plastic clips. The front
grille on my tacoma is ziptied. That’s right, i’m ghetto.

Those cheap plastic lawn chairs break easy, right at the center.
Drill a few holes and zip tie the sucker. Also ghetto.

HOT…

I wish i had the time and, most importantly, the money for one
of these. All i can afford is hubcap spinners for my beat up 97
tacoma. Stylin…
