Looks like you’re right track! And do go to 2000. Then 3000.
It is a lot of sanding and 3000 wont feel like you’re doing
much at all. And it almost seems pointless; but its not.
The extra few sanding steps makes the polishing session MUCH
easier going.

i think the type/quality of the coatings on headlights vary. This makes sense
as the paint quality varies with different manufacturers.
Micro-Surface makes excellent wool pads.
Be sure to give your customers a better deal. And give them options/choices;
this way vs. that way, used vs. new or aftermarket, R&I vs no R&I, etc.
And, of course, prices (quality) will vary depending on what method they choose.
After they’ve decided, and should they need to wait a while, encourage them
to shop around.
There’s a lot more “labor” in body/paint work. Much less paper work too.
Yup, it is smoke and mirrors.

Post some pics! this sounds interesting!
That’s just the tip of the ice berg. Might be a lot easier to find another door.
Sweet flames! Yeah…long term projects are usually a pain no matter how “cool.” :whistle:
After all these years my NR2000 is beat…been using my backup RP. Wow! sucker is a hoser!
Very nice! Seems like everyone is using the same masking paper.
