You might have some bad hardener,it should NOT CLOG YOUR PAPER,it sands super easy and powders right off.
I never cared for hvlp guns,I used an rp when I shot solvent and never had a problem. :kofee

How is fantastic? And the pro 7?
Not worth using again, fantastic sucked really bad.You have 4-5 people telling you to go with the platinum, trust us that is the product to use and forget the rest 😉

If it was plugging your paper and hardly changed color you didn’t put enough hardener in it,the blue hardener will turn it green(sands easy with no clogging of the paper). As far as other fillers I have tried evercoat rage/rage extreme, rage gold, quantum, upol fantastic, monarch gold, usc cromate lite, pro 7,easy sand, all sorts of stuff I can’t even remember. In short I have found nothing that works as nice as platinum in 25 years,my go to combo is platinum with dolphin glaze.

The platinum sands, spreads better, more of a neutral color, less pinholes.IMO most of the evercoat products today are overpriced and not that great, how many new fillers have they come out with recently that all blow 😉

Marson/3m regular platinum is nicer than the plus or any evercoat product IMO.
I will be painting a vehicle Purple but have not found anything great looking in our colour decks. Anyone know of a nice dark metallic purple that isn’t gay? I will be spraying in Sherwin Williams…
How about looking in the sikkens colormap book?I for get the code but the new plum crazy that came out on the new challengers looks pretty good but maybe thats too light.
I did an old caprice wa9802 hawaian orchid that is a nice dark purple.

IMO it does in regards to speed and how much material it puts out, you just have to be closer with the 3000.I sprayed with a jet90 for ten years( it was satas first gun to deliver 65% transfer efficency at 50psi) and have owned and used all the rp’s…

Yeah thats the place :p She came to Canada after WWII when she married a Canadian (my father in law).
I used it back in the 90’s when it was called ICI,very good product, can’t say the same thing about delfleet, not a fan .Once again welcome to the site, :cheers
With the EPA’s 6H rule all spray guns are more likely to spray like HVLP guns. They will slow you down.
Sata RP’s do not spray like HVLP,not even close, they spray just as fast as my sata jet 90 😛
I hate it..”I always feel like I’m on my own . If I had an adhesion problem…I could only imagine what they would say. Five years…. Jeeze.
That’s why you go to a manufacturers certification course and learn proper procedures so you have a warranty ;)Get in touch with your jobber and talk to a paint rep,it will improve your business.

It would also be a good idea for you to look into ICAR or other courses for proper ways to do structural and sheet metal repairs,or hire a really good tech who can help you learn….just sayin :kofee

:agree What a bummer,to bad you didn’t have any materials left over so you could throw it through their front window or a brick maybe :deadhorse
DO you think maybe you can try again with one of their reps???

If we had a tech who tried to do work like that 😡 he would be down the road in 30 seconds.I think that is a good example of why you are slow…just sayin
