Sorry man never used the 2 pack,I thought you were talking about the regular HS+.

Try bumping up the pressure to 28-30 psi and move in closer.I really liked a first gen rp with a 1.4 for HS+.What are you using for hardener and activator?A slower mix will go on in thinner wetter coats which will drastically cut down on texture on the sides.

Pretty sure it requires a drop coat….

Kind of tough to answer that….Every shop is different and it looks like your boss wants a quick turnaround for used car work which is the only way to do it due to limited $$$.When it comes to collision work every one goes buy an estimate program (mitchell/adp) for the times. The longer you do it the more experience you will get and the speed will come.Eventually you will have to get into a collision shop or something that deals with every aspect of the repair process vs quick used car work.I’m not saying that kind of work is bad, your just not going to get well rounded experience.Good luck

Here is the secret 😉 Good spraygun and technique, proper speed of reducer for base, slower is always better. When it comes to drop coat some manufacturers recommend one and others do not due to adhesion problems. If you rush and clear to soon the clear can cause some mottling with some systems, proper flash is mandatory.

I never cared for the 1.3 in the 4000 ,had much better luck with the 1.4,it sprays superior better IMO.

2021 is the only ppg clear I liked, global 894 was ok but nothing special IMO,I won’t comment on dc 2000 heard enough reviews tho 😛 The enviro base clears EC700 and 750 are total garbage not user friendly at all.Why do you say it is expensive?our cost on a Litre/quart sprayable of 250 is $65 and it goes further than any other clear I have used, initial cost might be more but you use less.Anyway everyone is different and maybe it sprays different in your booth, what gun are you using?(energy pro blows in my opinion 😛 )

You obviously never tried superior 250,HS plus was ok you just have to not bag it on 😛 Never cared for ACIII,lesonal has a couple of nice clears too.

X3 on best color match in the industry,8 out of 10 times standard formula is blendable.

5 coats of base is quite a bit of material and a ton of solvents. Why didn’t you use a tinted sealer or a dark gray to make life easier and allow faster coverage?Ryan is right you do get what you pay for with paint.

Thats good to know,I am also curious to know how they hold up to the every day grind.I thought hutchins brought them out to compete with the cheaper asian models, anyone hear that too??
