Well it is a digital and the more desirable one,if it is in super minty condition with a perfect flid tip needle and cap thats not a bad price if you want it.I would try and get it for $225 to start and pay $300 if you had too.

That may be true and work for you guys but the fact remains one tech is always going to produce more for the techs that can’t.So why should the slow tech make as much as the fast tech???It boils down to being all about the shop making money and a tech getting the shaft.IMO straight time with a bonus system is more beneficial to the techs and makes more sense.

In the collision side teams don’t make sense you have the young guys doing the tear down/assembly and the experienced guys doing the actual work. How are these young guys going to get the experience that they need to do the job??You will end up with journeyman assemblers who can’t do anything and once again the experienced techs taking up the slack for those who can’t.

The pre-treatment wipes are based on allodine, although I think they are gay they do seem to work.We also have a jug of straight allodine that can be put in a pump and spray bottle on a large bare aluminum panel and then wiped off.
RED our shop will take all the CR you can get, like 2 pallets full :clappy :clappy :clappy

Jimmo its not ideal but proform has a low voc etch primer that actually works good, its 2k just like the old stuff.http://www.proformproducts.com/en/products/info/?product=289&category=8

Seriously, its not that big of a deal, the other painter at work used one gun for sealer, base, and clear(still looks like new) when we were using solvent. As others have said just take it apart and clean it with lacquer thinner and call it good.If a guy is anal when it comes to gun cleaning you can get away with it.

Why won’t they pay for blending adjacent panels on a quarter panel replacement? So you butt match to the door or trunk? That is just plain stupid :clappy

IMO it just proves that the “show car guys” don’t even try for the best “off the gun” finish, they all cut and buff there jobs.I would rather have a slick finish with a nib or too vs swirls and sand scratches that you are forever chasing. :pcorn:

You can either look at your color map book to match it up or phone the color lab in atlanta and they will send you a formula,or buy some ppg.
