April 23, 2011 at 1:07 am #30460
i bought a sata 3000 hvlp with a 1.4 tip just for base, and i want a gun just for clear, is the sata 3000 RP with a 1.3 tip a good clear gun or would a 1.2 be better
well those of us who have the sata 3000 hvlp and rp, have the 1.3 tip for base seems to atomize it just right, and a 1.4 is prefered for the rp, as we feel like the 1.3 over atomize’s the clear. i use the 1.3 rp for clear and wish i had the 1.4.
1.2 wouldn’t be a good ideal.
April 22, 2011 at 9:10 pm #30456is it still in production, i mean the color, i know sometimes ppg will discontiue certian formulas. in the past i’ve had to have the store come out and take pictures.
April 22, 2011 at 9:07 pm #30455
I love using scuff stuff on bumpers but I always use the grey pad. Guess I should try the red pad but isnt that like 320-400 grit?
i’m sure it is, but i use carbo pads, and they don’t seem as agressive as the 3m, but i don’t apply a lot of presure, and the only bumpers is scuff is am one’s dry.
i should be getin to use some presta stuff.
