i used to have this problem with dcu2042, clear darkening up the blend panels. the ppg rep told me to do like the others, first coat just past the base blend, and then finish off the whole door. then we strated getting cars comeing back and the jobber wouldn’t pay for the redo’s, claiming i didn’t put enough clear on the panels, duh, that’s what ya’ll told me. so we use dc3000 clear much cleaner.

some things i would check like if the clear you use has a slight yellow tone to it, and you should check the blend panel for previous repairs. i have a couple that were, and when we got done, the fender matched the back door but the middle on back of the front door was darker, due to previous repairs.

oh yeah good job. and you know if you mixed 70 and 95 you would of gotten 80 something?
hey lild that list you got there looks pritty simlar to our list at the moment 😆 Doesnt it suck trying to figure out what order you going to spray all that $hit all supose to be done yesterday right ??? :woohoo: :cheers
no kiddin, like i said i had 3 that i already painted before those.
once i sealed them all, i decided to strat with the gold one and work my way to the balck ones.

what i did was set 3, and grouped the others out of the way, painted those, then, grouped those together and set up the other 3. then lined them all back up to clear at once.

the nice thing about water is you don’t have to worry about overspray floatin around like solvent. i was good n tired when i got done.

it depends on what type of clear you use. like the speed of the drying times, and your setup. all clears have window that you can buff with great results.
