I thought we were talking about fast clear that stayed shiny.

May 12, 2012 at 6:32 am #36894Try Lesonal Pro Air LV. Lower RTS cost, sprays easy, dries fast. No loss of gloss.

First coat, thin wet and pretty, just barely connect the dots. If you want more peel, let it flash a little extra then spray the second coat for appearance. It flows a little during bake so you can leave some extra texture to allow for that. Also, if you use the faster combinations from your MPU you will get less flow and more texture.
BTW, an Iwata W400 LV2 1.3 at 35 psi is one bad a$$ clear gun also. Still my favorite.

MPU…. people actually use those? ive heard about them but never actually seen one in person.
interesting concept but I dont know how you could keep the clear/hardener from gunking up eventually
You flush it with thinner or reducer. They do work very well
April 11, 2012 at 5:40 am #36681Does your paint happen to use powder pearls? I used a couple of systems using powder and always got chunks. First one was DBU back in the early 90s when they had the pearl paste in what looked like baby food jars. The last one was chroma premier in 95ish. Since then, nothing but liquid pearls. I figure if it doesn’t have liquid pearls, it isn’t a high end product.
