im a big fan of the lord fusor adhesives. the repair adhesive 142 can be used with any type of plastic as long as you spray the surface modifier and then they have the 114 which is a plastic finishing adhesive which spreads and sands like a coat of body filler. 3m is good too
the best way i have found is to sub it out to a glass company which we do for almost all of our glass work. the tool i posted is what our glass guy uses alot. he also sprays something around the glass onto the urethane b/4 he starts i am assuming to soften the urethane abit? anyone have any idea what it is?? as i have never thought to ask him.
yea its just water to lubricate the blade. the machine looks like its bulky and it kinda pricey. i have some shopping around to do before i start the glass work full time.

it would be nice if someone actually put together a good how to on windshields.
I don’t do a lot of glass, but if I did do you a video, you would only hear about 3 words (repeated frequently). 👿 So anything useful I might have to say wouldn’t get said.
lol, i did a windshield on a honda a few days ago it was so frustrating. i thought maybe someone had a few tricks up their sleeve that they could share
not sure exactly what type of rivets your referring to but the plastic rivets like the ones on chryslers? i use an inexpensive tile nibbler and cut them off. the tile nibbler also cuts the aluminum ones off too if you can access the head slightly. that or drill them out. rivets are a pain to remove but a life saver for installations
