LOL, when i do jambs or underhood stuff i let my creativity go wild. ive mixed 2:1 clear 4:1 accidentally; no problems, used the 4:1 urethane hardner in place of the 2:1 polyurethane hardener;just a little die back, again accidental, lol, mixed DBU and DBC; intentionally, no problems, mixed left over DBC and OMNI, very ugly color but needed it for coverage issue. ive put baby powder in a can of dynalite 494 to see what would happen, tried to improve it but its just a crappy filler. Benjamin Moore industrial colorant in a urethane primer (i use that to shade all my primers now to as close as the base color as possible, works perfectly just costs less and saves a lot of base. i cant think of anything else lol.
hi, i had that happen to me once, and it never happend before or after, but it happened because i used wax and grease remover, then glass cleaner waited a few mins and tacked. somehow the solvents on the panel did not flash enough and it loosened the material off the tack rag which caused streaks and tremendous fish eye. and to top it all off, it was a blend panel that did it. not only did i have to end up blending the rest of the side because of it but i had to resand with the da and seal it before i put base on it again. the moral of the story is to let the cleaning solvents flash way long before you even think about tacking or spraying.
i run into the same booth getting too hot and humid issue often during the summer so i found that in addition to using a slow hardner and reducer, i spray after sunset or late at night. i know its probably not feasible if you have a list of cars to be painted but if its a complete paint job and your really worried about results then spraying at night is way better. also, idk if ur spraying a complete or just panels but if the weather is really hot and its a complete i dont let the clear flash any additional time because by the time i get all the way around the clear is just about ready for the next coat.
