i always had good luck using 065 reduced 2:1 with slow or extra slow and then add your color to it at a 2:1 mix and it keeps the viscosity the same so this way it wont mess with the color any like over reducing will

so what are you suppose to do if the color doesnt match cause with no mixing machine with toners u cant tint paint and if u have to wait on your jobber that will take all day for one color

i agree out of all the paint systems I’ve used dupont is the only one u have to have the camera with cause color match isnt good and cant go by the chips

the biggest thing to me is not being able to sand the base and for me to make it spray better i have to over reduce and then i dont get coverage and my materials went through the roof

thats about the only thing they have for there water that works but even with the newer camera it still isn’t user friendly

yea solids do match good but thats really it and I’m not a big fan of only being able to relay on the camera and not something i can see with my own eyes like the chips cause they suck but I’ve got my own spray outs going and they dont even come close to the chips but oh well got to spray what the boss tells me till we start demos

Thanks for the info yea that jobber keeps telling me it sprays just like PPG and color match just like PPG and after what u said it makes a lot of sence why

Thats what we are goin to do but I think those will be the only 2 paint lines we demo my boss wants to stay with the big company name that way he will have the backing of a big corporation at least that’s how he thinks

thanks guys yea the jobber that sales PPG is the most popular in my area and when I did use them at my last job they had some of the best service and if i need help now at the job I’m at they will be there even though i dont use there paint anymore and the jobber that sales sikkens now has only been open for a little over a year now and dont know much about them or there techs
