Damn!! You guys trying to scare the kid? I say turn him loose with an old Binks #7 and stand back. All kidding aside…they’re right. Man, you can do what ever you want to your truck but if you want a good quality job that’s done right you need a ton of practice. Not just spraying. You need to know how to prep a vehicle. A good paint job is only as good as the prep work done before the spraying. You might be able to take a night class to give you a better idea of what you’re getting into. Whatever you decide to do, take the correct safety precautions when using this stuff. IT WILL KILL YOU! None of this stuff is good for your body. I’m not trying to preach to you. I’ve just seen too many guys go down way before their time. Have fun and good luck…

I’ve used them all…they all have good things and bad things to be said about them. The secrect to sikkens is to know(and remember) your air pressure on certain colors. VERY sensitive to air pressure changes. As long as you use the value shade system with dupont you’ll be fine. I use that system with every paint line I’ve sprayed. I figure if they can get dupont to cover the different shades of gray it should be easy to get a better covering paint to get to full hiding. Its six in one hand and half a dozen in the other.

Thanks for the open arms guys!!! Hope I can help contribute to this site! Don’t know everything but I’ve fixed enough of my screw-ups to know a little about painting a car. Just like every paint rep says…this ain’t rocket science.
