AS above but i would prime the whole bumper to keep you blue mica a uniform color,no need for flex additive in your primer ,no one really bothers any more
iv been spraying water base since 1994 glasurit ici standox ,and standox does have a activator to put in there water base .its suppose to make there water base harder drying ,especially there dark colors.Never used it my self ,never hat-to.
Bleed can be caused by putting to much hardener in the filler as some one mentioned.
WE stopped using 54line in 1994 /then went over to glasurit water base.keep up with the times,or be left behind.you will find when european cars come over ,there all done in waterbsse.one day it will come over the pond ,in some cases it already has .chip and custom my ride all on waterbase
Devilbiss light te20 1.3 2bar brilliant gun fan fully open
90 LINE we use on all porsche .we also use white label on BMW ,which is glasurit ,ppg em
YOU are all right, i am wrong ,all the time i have been spraying for 35 years i though that volume was the amount of paint.in them years the question has never came up .Just shows you does not matter how long you have been spraying things will trip you up.
110 air cap 1.3 nozzle.if you are using lower air pressure, then you dont need so much air .hvlp are great for compressors that have a lower air out put than conventional guns.Friend OF MINE USES A nr92 SATA HVLP AND it does not run the compressor down ,as a conventional gun.
Depends witch cap you are using the hvlp cap uses much more air than the comp
liant cap
HVLP uses less air h high v volume l low P PRESSURE that means less air two bar for devilbiss
standox clear coat is good ,little yellow in color. When baked at 65 for 35mins does not pop like ici.Must leave it for atleast 2 hours before polishing.Does take a little time to fully cure.Three different hardeners .10/20 that takes 10 to 20 mins to dry when baked ,25 /30 and 30/40.So the 10/20 fast hardener .25/30 medium hardener . 30/40 slower hardener.i forgot the new tinter that’s out for this ford color ,But it cost 700pounds half litre.
i had a sata 3000rp for clear coat ,could not get on with it ,so i bought a devilbiss light .Fantastic gun, lays the clear coat so flat .also i dont get so many runs ,i’m heavy handed.

IV used standox water base for 4 years out of 10 7/10 ici 8/10 standox colors could be better.you wont be disappointed.ici dryes better and easy to flat, if the base goes wrong with standox it tends to roll up on you.
it wont be the water base that has not dry ed .the drop in gloss is usually the drop in temperature, causing blooming.if the water base had not dry ed you would of have tiny little micro bubbles showing through your clear coat..
I would panel wipe a week later ,because if you do it the next day or three .The panel wipe will soften up the 2k paint.its quiet strong in its substance .If you want to play it safe what i use is water base panel wipe.it does not soften the paint up.
