Use the Norton paint check paper and all Norton masking tape. That stuff sticks to anything. A good price to.
August 1, 2009 at 5:59 pm #15100Cool link. I have always wanted to learn how to do graphics but I have zero artistic talent! :S
Keep the pictures coming.
Just out of curiosity if I wanted to learn what would be a good way to start?
July 27, 2009 at 12:09 am #15014Thats some nice work you do Han!
Don’t forget it’s not about how much work you do it’s about how much you make off of the work you do. you seem to have the quality down it just takes time to build up a customer base.
July 25, 2009 at 5:09 am #14975I can’t believe you would use an etch!
Ah hell who am I kidding, I use em every day!
July 24, 2009 at 2:42 pm #14967I’m glad you did the quiz Jimmo. It made me look up what a thermosetting plastic and thermoplastic were. After I looked it up I knew what they were but didn’t really know much about them. I have been reading for over an hour now! Pretty interesting stuff. I doubt I would have ever looked this stuff up if it were not for this quiz.
July 24, 2009 at 2:22 pm #14966Mine just accepts it now.
I have two real good friends that paint in shops here and when we get going she gets tired of hearing about paint. 😛
July 24, 2009 at 2:59 am #14961I got a 77, but I passed.
The only one that I thought I got right that I didn’t was the bodyfiller finishing one. I answered for bodyfiller and not glaze. I should have answered for glaze.
June 21, 2009 at 5:08 pm #14753Nice work Ding!
We usually do jobs this same way. No lines in jamb, and only spray all the parts once. Saves time.
Is the tan tape you used on this one Norton?
June 4, 2009 at 3:49 pm #14624If I could recommend anything it would be to demo as many as you could. I always here of someone who likes one brand and the next guy says it’s awful. See what works in your shop for you!
I know in my area Sikkens has lost alot of customers over price. Their water is higher also. It is very nice looking though.
The one I wouldn’t try is Sherwin Williams. Everybody I have talked to that used it said it was bad.
June 3, 2009 at 3:04 pm #14611I use Dupont and am happy with it. No real color match issues. It covers very good and seems to dry pretty good. The shop I work at had used Sikkens for 20 years before switching. He says there is a big difference in cost.
