I stop by the site usually once a week to see what’s happening. I post the odd question but usually use the shoutbox more and talk there. I can remember once instance when I was having a problem with a failing bumper repair that some of the guys talked me through. I was used to using 3M epoxy filler where it was acceptable to use a polyester filler over as a final skim. Our shop eventually started using Fusor 142 and what was happening was after the bumper finished baking the polyester filler would bubble off of the Fusor 142. One of the guy’s ( I think it was Jimmo) told me that since Fusor 142 was urethane based you could not apply a polyester filler directly over it. After being directed to the tech sheet it clearly stated that, the solution was to finish with an epoxy based filler or use epoxy between the urethane and polyester.

Since I had no idea who my Lord Adhesives rep even is, being able to have another technician help us with our problem was great. The solution saved our shop money as we had no problem from that point on…. That’s my story, thanks!
