I usually spray that clear close and fast. If you need it to lay it like glass, try adding 5% accelerator.

I use a 4000rp for clear. I was initially using a 1.3 and shot many different clears with it. I found it too slow for my style.wouldnt want to try a 1.2. I am now using a 1.4 but still not the fastest gun out there, if it were me i would use the 1.3, Nason clears are on the skinny side.
Smooth, if you are painting Nexa Clearcoats, like the 6659 express clearcoat, How do you apply them with a 1.4? Really fast and close to the object? And with a 1.3?
I cannot get the 6659 because i live in Canada, im using the 6759 (basically the same clear). Was using a 1.3 but found it too slow like previously mentioned. Using a 1.4 now close and fast seems to do the trick. Im really liking the 6800 speed clear have you tryed it?

I think a darker purple would look nice on that car. will you just be spraying it or prep as well? Be sure to post pics 😉

Most of the time i remove the splash shield/plastic liner than i get up under the inner fender with some gun wash and clean it so the tape will stick on the edge. Than i will mask off the Arch of the wheel well with plastic or paper.
