9 times out of 10 a #5 sealer/shade will go under silver. #5 is a medium grey.

It depends how many coats of primer you applied. If it were me i would flatten with 400 than a coat of a good 2K urathane sealer.
Poor prep / wasent done correctly.
I doubt the clear was the reason why you can see the repairs.

Yes i use my 4000 for clear only. Like Ben i use my tekna’s for sealer and base. I cant compare to the 3000. Never used one.
$575 is average, thats what i payed for mine. Defently go with the 1.4, still not going to be a fast gun tho.
