Generally speaking, single stage is a more durable paint. I use it on any type of work truck or fleet vehicles that i do. If you do get a scratch in single stage it doesnt appear as white, the scratch will be the color of the vehicle, which makes it not so noticable. As for applying single stage paint. IMO i think its easier to spray than base clear and is less time consuming. Just apply like a primer and keep your paint wet. I have done some beautiful paint jobs in single stage and you would never know that it wasent base/clear.

No. I have never heard of such a thing. I cant believe that a shop would ever let a insurance comp. ever get that far. I offer a service to my insurance companys not let them tell me what to charge and what to do. DRP shops are :cens .
