we have a thingy that clamps to the battery when welding to protect electronics but if you don’t have one it’s safest to disconnect the negative battery post. 😉

there was just a slight mist of overspray on the window. what would be the best way to get that off?
razor blade :pcorn:
I think the bodymen should make more given that the are required to know more (up here a license consists of painting and bodywork) but most shops Ive been in the painters made out better then the bodymen. :pcorn:
I found the source of my striping issues were from me holding my gun to close to the panel. The best way to prevent them is to do an orientation coat on all metallic colors. Basically on your last coat turn your pressure down to about 20psi, open your fan wide open and spray a light coat with a 90% overlap about 10 inches from the panel. Essentially your misting on base from a distance, this helps even out your metallics
orientation coat is a clear base foundation … :pcorn: a “drop coat” is I think what you mean dill. 😉 striping comes from wet going dark as the metalics sink and dry being light where the metalics sit on top :pcorn: many causes as suggested,…. but good over lap and a drop coat over your last wet coat of base should help as well as changing up your pattern from coat to coat.
I’ve always found that the colors with out crystal base don’t blend as well. :pcorn:
:clappy nice … very nice :cheers
too cool, really really nice pics, that was the #### Dag…… but now we need pics for the next 5 years to see how it stands up …. then again for $400 “who gives a *** , it’s just a car” 😉
 a dodge dakota :wak  …. nice job dill, but wow  a dodge dakota  :pcorn:
