At work we use a Supernova with a 1.4 tip. I was in fear of a 1.4 tip but in hindsight it seems like you can get into MORE trouble with a 1.3 cause I always felt it was so slow that by going that slow you’d get a sag in an area prone to it. The 1.4 just seems to get everything wet and glossy but I’m imagining a lot of that is due to the awesome atomization of the Iwata Supernova. I have only sprayed a few things so far at this job but I haven’t used reducer one time with this tip but with a 1.3 I probably would have, and that can make it run and get solvent trap. Not an expert painter and do bodywork but was shockingly surprised how well my work has turned out with this gun.
