Never heard of it. But I guess I would have to try it to find out, So pick something up and tell us about it tell the rep to give it to you for free to test out.

They have an extensive catalog they may make other brands that we use under a different name. Also I dont see anything bad happening from it except saving some cash.

Yes I do.

But we wont put an oxygen monitor in your booth ding

it may be better I agree but there will be a higher expense unless it controlled correctly and monitored , what if the booth is off and your inside there is a leak it will be night night ding just like CO poisoning

heck only 750.00 per month what a deal :chair 37,500.00 total cost plus you need to buy filters twice a year

Home

Granted this is way safer than what I originally thought

Well that would save on compressor Electricity/maintenance ,Air line filters and contamination in the Propelent supply(can’t call it air supply any more haha) downside is new storage tanks, high pressure regulators on the new storage tanks and Supply of nitrogen from local welding jobber.

then nots leave out that we cant breathe the stuff and new oxygen monitoring systems in the booth so we dont die lol
so its prolly not a good idea, but we will see how many people die from this in the future im sure cant wait to hear that in the news.

I will have to make some calls to see if there is a Enviro jobber around here as Im out in the middle of nowhere.

And the split between the products is rather strange to me I figured if it had anything to do with PPG the PPG jober could get it.
Also who ever the guy is oin the other end of the phone calls at my jobber says that the Aquabase is the very best and top dog of the water.(I say bullshit)
but what do I know.

im also curious if MaxMayer Aquamax is the same stuff with a different name also (another PPG waterbase) but sold across the pond.

I am aware that here are 3 versions of waterbase from PPG, Nexa was first, Aquabase second and Envirobase Third.

Im actually getting my toners from PA. via a friend in the business which is a sheet ton cheaper than buying from a jobber no matter what kind of discount you get

the place dealing in the PPG products in my area is actually a United Auto supply parts store
he tells me that I can buy solvent from him but I am not autherized to buy the Waterbase from them (I tried to get a whole system from them but since im not a shop im not autherized unless they come and verify my booth airflow compressed air supply Quality and I have to go to there training classes) then I find out they only Deal in Aquabase.

I can buy individual toners from him just not a full system but then again its Aquabase. :chair

Im going to have to find out if he can get Envirobase (there has to be away)

I just bought some pouring lids and it was $84 for 12 lids (I need like 60 more anyone know a better place for these?)

I figure all the knowledge everyone has here should help me with this Enviro stuff :teach

Thanks for all the help so far.
That looks great Paintwerks. For some reason it looks whiter than the picture Jim’s posted on my screen. Maybe it’s just the contrast against the black, as I’ve done a couple of Mazda’s in that colour lately and they were both a tiny bit yellow in the sun.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, looks like I’ll be spraying out a few colours today :rock
:rofl Hahaha I did but by the time I got to this post I had forgotten already dang old age lol :chair

are you doing all pieces gloss black or are you going to do the matte black as well ?

for the black I would just go with PPG # 9850 this will come up as Vivid Black from Harley davidson but is just DMD1683 Toner straight up
it covers very well so you will prolly only need 1 Pint paint and 1 pint reducer (I think the smallest reducer you can get is 1 quart tho)

that paint from a jobber will be like $2.50 per ounce or $40(you just need to ask for 16 ounces of DMD1683 otherwise they will charge you according to price code for paint which is around $59) and $19 for the reducer, Then you will need 1 quart of clear I would use DC3000 on that Since you are spraying in a garage(Out of Dust in 5-10 min).
1 pint Basecoat $40.00 DMD1683
1 quart Reducer 21.00 DT885
1 quart clear is $47.00 DC3000
1 pint hardener for clear is $25.00 DCH3085 total cost $133.00+tax
Also if you want to do the Matte Black also you can use the same Basecoat but you will have to buy a Different clearcoat DCU2060 Flexed and Flat Clear and hardener for it DCX61

1 Quart Flexed and Flat Clear $64.00 DCU2060
1 Half pint Hardener $37.00 DCX61
Total Added cost $101.00+ tax
$234.00 +tax with all products(does not include Flexible glaze,Primer,Sandpaper,tack cloth,respirator,Tape…Ect)
So you see it can get expensive.
But on the otherhand you can always go to colorite and see what there costs come out to. it will be over $300 and the flat black will not be clearcoated resulting in a piss poor paint job than will not hold up

you could always leave out the gold pearl

Do not waste your money on colorite. End of story
