Hey guys does any one use the 6000, of 7000 3m series full faced respirator mask lol I do have a full air fed mask and a fly mask with filters but I’m thinking of a mask for the between jobs. Are they any good and worth the money

i have one and rarely use it ,the problem i have is they are a full face seal and awkward to put on and remove easily they also feel claustrophobic although that may just be me lol, personaly i prefer either a fly or a pull down airfed

Reason I ask as I found out I need glasses to spray so wearing a fly mask isnt s great idea, and with my air fed my boss has a rubbish compy and I do get a lot of dips wen spraying , which makes my job that little bit harder, that’s why I was thinkin of the 3m mask 🙂 but if people don’t think it’s great then ill have to try something else ha ha

I used a 3M 6900 full face mask for several years for both painting and other things and just loved it, the 6900 is the large, 6800 is the medium. I have now converted to 3M’s new FF400 series full face respirator. These are a little more pricy but I really like it, and their new semi-permanent lens cover works pretty good, it repels paint. But new 6000 series can be had pretty reasonbly on Ebay, I have picked them up anywhere between 50 and 75 dollars. Some of my 6000 series face pieces I have had for 6 or 7 years with very little trouble. I think they are well worth it. It just takes a little time to get used to wearing it.

Have you looked into a 3m papr system? I picked up one on eBay last year for about 500.00. The filters are about 80.00. I like mine unless I am packing a lot of stuff in the booth, then I get a little nervous about the pack running into things. But other than that I like mine a lot.
