Just getting into some body work. Built this car 3 years ago and now wanting to eventually repaint the entire car. I wish I would have known then what I know now while the car was blown apart 3 years ago but hind sight is always 20/20 right.

Been doing some body shaving here and there. I know I still have a ton of stuff to learn….Picked up a welder about 1.5 years ago just to jump into body work. I must say, I don’t know how body guys can do without one. It’s opened up a whole new world for me. My welds are not always the prettiest to look at but that is what grinders are for :cheer:

Looking forward to picking up some tips and tricks from you guys.

    -Ben

My next thing to do is to metal finish the Core Support and then start removing the seam sealer around the strut towers. Will post pics of the progress as it happens.

    Thanks!

Ha Ha..Yes, The VW/Audi group is not always looked at in a postive light…But, I have much respect for any car that is being restored.

I hope to build/restore a 66′ or 67′ Chevy Nova some day. But for now, It’s Big Turbos and Euro for me.

Thanks for letting me back on the site :rofl

looks like you won’t need to much advice, the VW looks great.

For though’s who don’t know the story of A2brb trying to sign up here I’ll have to fill you in. I accidentally had an ad above the shoutbox that stone mistook for spam, since it was right above A2’s name stone banned him. It eventually got sorted out & we all got a laugh, A2’s been a good sport. :welc:
