A few days ago I backed my ex-girlfriends 1999 ford escort into a truck. the truck didn’t have a scratch, but now there’s a hole under her right tail light. I have the pieces and i’m convinced i can adhere them into place and epoxy over the cracks to smooth it out, I’m just not sure what to buy. the pieces are plastic, so i’m not sure if bondo is the way to go or not. The pieces won’t be supported from behind, so i need an adhesive that will withstand the pressure of applying and sanding the epoxy afterwards. Unless you can offer me a better solution. I’m just looking for some advice on what to buy and maybe a couple tips on how to make the repair. I’m grateful for any help I can get on this.

yea the better solution is to buy a new finish panel

I agree you will have more money invested in trying to repair it than Replacing the panel

can you get a picture of the damage maybe we could give you a better suggestion and I can Assure you Bondo is not even an option

ya. that peice is held on by 4 10mm nuts from inside the trunk. take about 5 minutes to change. might cost you $20 at a junk yard. can probably even find it in color. you would spend way more time and money trying to fix it
