Its my first post here so i want to say Hi all ! 🙂

I was repairing some rust points on my 94 Isuzu Trooper. Everything was fine until i sprayed clear coat ( BASF Salcomix Ergoclear 2K) on base coat ( BASF BC Diamont). It was my first time doing some car painting before that i was only painting model kits with airbrush – so i don’t have a big experience. Colour is exactly this same as original but its mat . Between base and clear there was about 15 minutes. There are 3 layers of clear coat. I was using airbrush with 0,2 mm nozzle. I dont know where i made a mistake ? Why its mat and how can i fix it !? Here you can see photos :

    Thank You ! :cheer:

An airbrush will be too small for what your spraying. Look into a touch up gun or a full sized gun.

Ok thanks ! So the best way is to remove this clear coat and apply new one with full size gun ? Is there any way to polish it ?

normally you might be able to buff but I doubt there is enough material on there to do so. you will be lucky if those 3 coats with the airbrush equal what 1 coat would be with a normal gun
