Hello all!

I’ve been browsing this forum for awhile now, but finally registered! A lot of great information for a DIY-er like me.
But enough with that, lets get to the point.
I bougth about 2 years ago 3 liters of Debeers 1-204 MS clear or 2 liters clear and 1 liter of hardener. The hardener was put into a plastic bottle while the clear was put into a resealable tub. As always everything does not go as planned and the clear sat in my shelf for 2 years. now i finally got around to use it so i popped the lid and found out that about half of clearcoat was gone! So I made a test piece, basecoated it, let it flash and then applied clearcoat(mixed 1:1 clear:hardener, then thinned enough to pass the gun). At first everything looked nice but after 2 hours the piece was dry and the gloss was gone, it looked like it had been basecoated, no clear! Further close inspection I found that the clear had sunk into basecoat. As I see it the excessive thinning of clear resulted with clear “solving” the basecoat?
I like to hear Your thoughts about this problem!

Correct my if I am wrong but theres nothing to do with this clearcoat then to bin it?

And yes, liter is a measuring unit! 1 liter = 0,26 Gallons
