I have a big problem. I can’t seem to get code 1F2 to blend. Im using Sherwin Williams AWX waterborne base. While Im laying the base down everything looks fine, but when I clear it all shows up. The blend looks blotchy. I’ve shot this color 3 times now with the same result. I dont think its me. I think it has something to do with the metallics in it. It has a very fine metallic and a medium size with a good sparkle. Any ideas? Thoughts? Im tired of going down the whole side of a vehicle. Thanks

I spray AWX as well. Bondo is right, you need the variant with the best side tone (flop). The face is less important. Try using the slow (030) basecoat reducer as well. Are you using the 0500 blender/wet bed at all? What gun/setup are you using and how are you spraying your orientation coat?

The metallics (especially the medium and finer ones, 411,412, 413, 414) usually spray easily and blend very well.
