Do you trust them???Would you prefer to use an epoxy or etch first & what do you think gives the best holdout?

I trust the for small jobs, I still prefer to lay down an etch and/or and epoxy on larger jobs. I believe it will hold out better.

I used the Rm Dp series of primers for over a year with no issues.
I’m no longer using the Basf products, so know I am back to using an etch before priming. I wish all the paint manufactures had direct to metal primers 🙁

don’t prime over a lot of bare metal and when I do I use etch or ofter just ep but for over metal high build I really like the ppg k36

If you’re repairing to OEM specs, you have to use an etch. If the paint supplier is going to warranty the repair, DTM primer is probably not covered as well.
